Bokakhat pays heartfelt tribute to eminent poet Anubhav Tulasi

BOKAKHAT: A large number of members from Bokakhat’s intellectual community paid tribute on Tuesday evening to eminent Assamese poet and literary figure Anubhav Tulasi, who passed away on Tuesday. The tribute ceremony was jointly organized by Bokakhat Puwoti Xahitya Xabha, Bokakhat Subdivisional Poets’ Conference, and Bokakhat Sandhani Lekhika Samaroh Samiti.

In the evening, notable individuals from Bokakhat’s literary and intellectual circles gathered at the premises of Bokakhat Puwoti Sahitya Sabha, where they lit ceremonial lamps in front of a portrait of the Late literary figure as a mark of respect. The tribute programme, led by Namita Bora, the Secretary of the Bokakhat Puwoti Sahitya Sabha, began with a one-minute silent prayer for the eternal peace of the departed soul. During the event, several speakers expressed their sorrow over the poet’s passing and described his death as an irreparable loss to Assam’s intellectual and poetic landscape. Brief discussions on the life and literary contributions of Anubhav Tulasi were offered by Pranjal Hazarika, eminent young storyteller and journalist, Kalpana Chetia, former President of Puwoti, Jitu Sharma Rajkhowa, President of the Assam State Journalists’ Association, Amar Sharma, President of the Golaghat District Poets’ Conference,  and several others.
