GUWAHATI: Bongaigaon Refinery celebrated the 57th Teachers’ Day on Wednesday at BGR Township. Teachers of both the schools of BGR Township i.e. Delhi Public School and BGR Higher Secondary school participated in the function organized at Champa Club of BGR Township. CGM (I/c) G C Sikder, CGM(Tech) D Gogoi, CGM(P&U and Instru.) MM Chetri and GM(HR) B Hazarika and members of the managing committee of both the schools also attended the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Sikder conveyed his best wishes and gratitude to all the teachers for imparting invaluable teachings and guidance to our children. He stated that teachers exert tremendous vital influence upon the society. He also emphasized that teachers should motivate the students for helping each other rather than competition amongst themselves so that everyone grows equally and they learn teamwork and bonhomie. He further applauded the performance of both the schools of the township and urged to maintain this successful track record.
On the occasion B K Sarma Principal, BGR Higher Secondary school and A K Mishra, Principal, DPS, Dhaligaon also shared their thoughts regarding the present educational scenario, a press release stated.
