Dibrugarh: Deputy Commissioner Laya Madduri inaugurated a cleanliness scheme on Tuesday at Barbaruah Market area in presence of Managing Director of Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BCPL) A K Singh, Executive Engineer, Public Health Engineering Department, Bhaskar Sharma, BCPL’s Chief Operating Officer, P Nagesh and other senior officials of BCPL. The Petro-Chemical Plant here at Lepetkata, under its cleanliness fortnight, launched the scheme in association with the District Administration by engaging an NGO, -Agraha. The NGO will collect segregated waste from Barbaruah Market area on daily basis including solid waste material of commercial establishments. The inaugural function was attended by BCPL employees, representatives of Agraha and local public in huge number. The scheme is undertaken with an objective of restoring cleanliness of Barbaruah and promoting health & hygiene.
