TINSUKIA: The 2-day Training of Teachers (ToT) for CBSE resource persons conducted jointly by CBSE and ISTM (Institute of Secretariat Training and Management) concluded on Saturday at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV) Dibrugarh.
More than 50 trainees that included principals, vice principals, post-graduate teachers, under-graduate teachers and other officials affiliated to CBSE attended the programme. Arvind Kumar Mishra, Regional Deputy Secretary-cum-Head, Centre of Excellence (CoE), attended the event while Biswajeet Banerjee, Ashish Bose and Karamjeet Singh acted as resource persons. The training module was developed, designed and delivered by CBSE-ISTM.
Welcoming the guest, Achinta Goswami, Principal VKV Dibrugarh, briefly outlined the objective and mission of the training programme. He said that the training will provide an opportunity to develop basic training and institutional skill while enabling trainees to undertake the responsibilities of designing and conducting training courses besides the trainees would be a part of the NEP 2020 implementation. Arvind Kumar Mishra underscored the importance of skilled trainees in conducting effective training.
Mishra said that the training fundamental is designed to assist CBSE Trainees to deliver quality training to teachers so that they can maintain ‘a proactive, systematic process through which an organisation’s human resources gain knowledge, skills and required behaviours by instruction and practical activities that result in improved performance’.
The training module had 18 units that encompassed a series of practical learning activities delivered through multimedia styles and activated with ‘Self-directed learning’ approach stimulated by the use of field-based situation sharing of best practices in teaching learning.
