Kaziranga: Officials of Kaziranga National Park (KNP) conducted a census of Eastern Swamp Deer on Wednesday. The census was conducted in four ranges of KNP, namely Central range Kohora, Eastern range Agaratali, Western Range Bagori and Burapahar Range on Wednesday morning. As per park officials, there might be a decrease in the swamp deer population due to the two waves of flood in 2017. The Eastern Swamp Deer is considered critically endangered species after the one-horned rhino, the Royal Bengal Tiger and Asiatic Water Buffalo.
