Morigaon: A commemoration meeting in memory of late Bhadrakanta Bora, an educationist, retired principal of Morigaon Girls’ High School and also a nationalist leader, was held at Barangabari Motiram Bora Model ME school on Saturday. The meeting was presided over by the president of office secretary of Literary body office of Nagaon Anchalik.
Speaking on the occasion Pratap Hazarika said that no one is indispensable in the world, but can be immortalized by the work of a lifetime. The meeting was attended by Khagen Mahanta, Secretary, Morigaon District Karmachari Parishad, Birinchi Kumar Sharma, President, Morigaon District Journalists Association, Babul Bora, Principal, Gerua Secondary School and many other dignitaries paid tribute to the late Bora. The event was organized by seven organizations including Morigaon District Satra Mahasabha, Barangabari Branch Sahitya Sabha, Sri Sri Lakshmi Mandir Management Committee, Anchalik Bihu Udajapan Samiti and Juva Sangha. The event was moderated by cultural worker Bimal Chandra Barkakati.
