MANGALDAI: “It is very unfortunate that the 140 years old national party Congress is unable to find candidates to contest elections today. This is the condition of Congress whose only intention is to make money from the candidates” said AIUDF candidate for No. 10 Bihudiya ZP constituency in Darrang Moinuddin Ahmed while interacting with the media persons during his election campaign.  He also alleged that the aggrieved and the deprived Congress workers were openly accusing the president of Darrang District Congress Committee for taking Rs. 50 lakhs to Rs. 60 lakh from Zila Parishad candidates and Rs. 15 lakhs to Rs. 20 lakh for the candidature of Anchalik Panchayat members, which has resulted in no entry to the Congress leaders in rural areas. Moinuddin Ahmed also said that Congress was not even getting candidates in Hindu majority areas and the fight for its existence was left only in Muslim majority areas. But the Muslim community has realized the vote bank politics of the Congress, which would also put the Congress in a zero position in the Panchayat election in Darrang district.

He also referred to the major achievements of the Dalgaon legislator Majibor Rahman of AIUDF in the development of Dalgaon LAC which once was represented by the then Chief Minister Syeda Anowara Taimur of Congress.

“As an agricultural farmer, my priorities shall always be for the all round development of the farmers of the area. Offering a proper market for the agricultural farmers and eradication of the middle men from the market will be my another agenda. I am proud of the ideal and progressive farmers of Bihudiya area who have already exported agriculture produces to a number of foreign countries,” added AIUDF candidate Moinuddin Ahmed.
