COVID-19 Outbreak: 3,442 persons quarantined in Biswanath district

Biswanath Chariali: As many as 3,442 persons have been quarantined in Biswanath district so far. They have been kept under strict supervision of the supervisory units consisting of various health workers such as ANMs, MPWs, ASHA workers etc. According to the district administration, COVID-19 tests were performed upon 17 suspected persons and among them, fifteen were tested negative while results of two persons were awaited. Altogether 197 isolated beds have been kept ready in several hospitals in the district. On the other hand, five persons have been kept in isolated wards. Meanwhile, 41 PPE kits, 620 N-95 masks, 8000 triple-layer masks, 4000 gloves and 3500 litres of sanitizer have been kept ready in stock.
