SIVASAGAR: In an effort to decongest the jails to fight the COVID-19 outbreak, the Sivasagar district jail released 16 under trial prisoners on personal recognized bond on March 30. The jail authorities dropped the inmates at their respective homes due to the lockdown. Earlier, the jail authorities released 25 inmates on March 26.
