SIVASAGAR: CPI Sivasagar district council organised a rally in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office against rising prices of the petroleum products, essential commodities and the electricity charges. Kanak Gogoi, district secretary of the party, Dharma Baruah, state executive member, Muhi Baruah, workers’ leader, Jogesh Buragohain, farmers’ leader and students’ leader Juganta Pathak addressed the gathering and made a scathing attack on NDA government for its alleged failure in checking price rise. Later, the members submitted a memorandum to the Sivasagar DC.
