LAKHIMPUR: The Vice Chancellor (VC) of Dibrugarh University, Dr Lila Kanta Nath on Saturday inaugurated the quarterly newsletter of Lakhimpur Commerce College. For that a meeting was held at the seminar hall of the college and it was inaugurated by Dr. Muhidhar Pujari, President of the Governing Body of the college. The objective of the meeting was explained by Dr Harinee Patowary Das, editor of the newsletter and coordinator of the bulletin committee. LCom News, the newsletter was in its compiled and current issue was inaugurated by VC Dr Nath in a solemn ceremony at the college in presence of Principal Dr Lohit Hazarika, invited guests and faculty members, office staff and students of the college.
Inaugurating the newsletter, VC Dr Nath expressed his satisfaction at the rapid strides made by Lakhimpur Commerce College in various fields in the last three months time and asked to start Post Graduate course as it completed fifty years of its existence. He also appealed the teaching community to contribute towards all-round development of the college.
The internet version of LCom News, the newsletter was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Lohit Hazarika at the ceremony. Principal of Lakhimpur Girls College, Dr Surajeet Bhuyan and Principal of Panigaon Om Prakash Dinodia College Dr Suresh Dutta attended the function as guests of honour.
