District Legal Service Authority (DLSA) organizes sensitization workshop in Tinsukia

TINSUKIA: A sensitization workshop on basic procedure on laws and the HIV and AIDS (P&C) Act, 2017 for Gaon Pradhan (Village Heads)/Customary Courts was held at the conference hall of the District Legal Service Authority (DLSA) on Thursday. The workshop organized by DLSA was attended by 48 Gaon Pradhans (village heads).

Among the resource persons who deliberated in the workshop were FU Choudhury, secretary, DLSA, Tinsukia, Chinmoy Pathak, Circle Officer, Tinsukia, Bodon Moran, SK Tinsukia Revenue Circle, and Abul Ali, Counsellor, (ICTC, LAC, DSRC) Tinsukia Civil Hospital-cum-DRP & FP (ASACS) for Tinsukia district.

The themes on which the resource persons dwelt were sensitisation on basic procedure of laws, the POCSO Act, 2012 & HIV and AIDS (P&C) Act, 2017 by FU Choudhury, sensitization on general rule and responsibilities of Gaon Pradhan/Village Heads by Chinmoy Pathak and sensitisation on HIV/AIDS, STI/RTI and the Role of Gaon Burhas/Village Heads in prevention of HIV and ensuring a discrimination free society by Abul Ali.
