TEZPUR: Acting on a tip-off, a special drive against narcotic drugs and psychtropic substances was conducted under the leadership of Sudhanya Suklabaidya, DSP(B), along with OC Chariduwar PS, Sonitpur, in the house of one Sumi Lama Das, wife of Nazrul Islam alias Sunu of Kekakuli Nepali gaon under Chariduwar in Sonitpur district.
The police seized drugs kept in 75 small plastic containers, Rs 5,900 in cash and four mobile phones. Sumi Lama Das was arrested in this connection. Meanwhile, the police have launched further investigation into the case.
