TINSUKIA: An extensive excise search, patrolling and raid was conducted on Wednesday in Namphai, Jagun, Lakla, Ahom Pathar, Namchik Gate areas by the team of Margherita Excise Circle under the supervision of Prasanta Dutta, Deputy Superintendent of Excise, Margherita. During the raids, three cases were detected and around Beer-87.60 BL, IMFL-4.68 BL (for sale in Arunachal Pradesh only), 22 litres of illicit distilled liquor and fermented wash around 70 litres were seized and one set of distillation apparatus was also destroyed during the operation.
