FHTC under Jal Jeevan Mission ceremonially inaugurated in Chirang district

KOKRAJHAR: The Functional Household Tap Connection (FHTC) installed at Dongsiapara No.- II Piped Water Supply Scheme (PWSS) and at Deborgaon Piped Water Supply Scheme (PWSS) under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) were ceremonialy inaugurated by Ajay Kumar Ray, MLA of Bijni Legislative Assembly, and Ranjit Basumatary, Executive Member for Forest and Land and Revenue of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) respectively, in Chirang district on Tuesday.

Through the occasion, a total of 125 FHTCs in Bijni subdivision and 75 FHTCs in Kokrajhar Division-II were handed over to the beneficiaries under the scheme. In the programmes held separately at Kokrajhar Division-II and Bijni subdivision, Assistant Executive Engineers Rupeswar Brahma and Badruz Zaman briefed the gathering about the objectives of JJM and highlighted the details of Deborgaon PWSS and Dongsiapara No.- II PWSS and the implementation plan of JJM in the Chirang District in the presence of other officials from Public Health Engineering Department.
