DEMOW: The Demow Model Hospital which is situated in Demow Raichai Konwar Dehingia Gaon has carved a niche for itself. The first surgical case was done in Demow Model Hospital on Thursday, said a health official. According to sources, Feikib Konyak, an inhabitant of Monaiting Naga Gaon, had a Right Direct Inguinal Hernia surgery in the hospital on Thursday. Dr Diya Daimary, surgeon, and Dr Santosh Kumar, assistant surgeon, along with the health staff of Demow Model Hospital, did the surgery.
Dr. Surajit Giri, an anaesthesia specialist in Demow Model Hospital, informed that on Thursday, after a gap of 12 years general surgery was restarted in the hospital. The last surgery was performed in the year 2010 in the old CHC building for hernia.
