DHUBRI: Five youth participants were selected to take part in the National Youth Parliament Festival, 2019 by a five-member jury organized by BN College, Dhubri at its auditorium hall on Monday. The National Youth Parliament Festival, 2019 sponsored by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of India, is being organized across the country.
Altogether 47 students of BN College, Sapatgram College, PB College, Dhubri Girls’ College, Dhubri Law College and Chilarai College of Dhubri district and Hatsinghimari College and Mancachar College of South Salmara-Mancachar district participated in the programme. The five selected participants are Akta Malu from Chilarai College, Nistha Jain from PB College, Jyoti Prasad from BN College, Anushmita Saha Roy from Dhubri Girls’ College and Binita Roy from BN College.
The five-member jury comprised Agomoni Circle Officer of Dhubri district, Chiranjit Das, Prof (retired) of BN College, Nagendra Nath Roy, social worker, Ali Hussain, Dhubri legislator’s representative, advocate Jamsher Talukdar and journalist Bijoy Kumar Sharma.
Talking to The Sentinel, Principal of BN College, Dr. Dhruba Chakrabortty said that the selection of youths to participate in the National Youth Parliament Festival, 2019 was also made through the digital process and walk-in process.
