BARPETA: The forest officials of Barpeta Road and Barpeta led by Jayanta Nath, regional forest officer, Barpeta Road, on Wednesday seized two illegal saw mills at Palhazi under Barpeta police station. Illegal saw mills have been running in remote villages of the district. The forest officials seized tools and machinery from the saw mills. Jayanta Nath, forest officer, Barpeta road region, stated that during the last 10 days they had been able to seize five illegal saw mills and this operation would continue.
