Former Karbi Students' Union leader Bishnu Rahang dies aged 43

Guwahati: Bishnu Rahang, a former president of the Karbi Students' Union (KSU) passed away on Saturday morning at a private hospital in Guwahati, said reports. He was 47.

According to reports, the former student leader had been suffering from diabetes and hypertension for a long time and was undergoing treatment for his ailments. He finally passed away on Saturday after a courageous battle with the diseases.

Rahang was a prominent figure in Karbi Anglong and is known for serving a term as the President of the Dimoria district unit of the tribal sangha. At one point in time, he was also the organizational secretary of the 'All Assam Tribal Sangha'.
