TEZPUR: A total of 4 candidates, who appeared in the GD Constable Exam conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), were arrested by Sonitpur police. Talking to The Sentinel IC, Mahabhairab, Tapan Talukdar said that the four candidates, including a young woman were arrested in Tezpur for cheating the minimum cut-off marks of 35 to 40 in the educational certificates issued by the central government for unemployed youth in Assam and the North East and three youths from Uttar Pradesh were arrested at the same examination center on January 28 for forging Aadhaar cards at ION Digital Zone under Tata Consultancy in Tezpur. Talukdar further said that they were arrested under Section 420/468/34 of the Indian Penal Code Police arrested three people, including a young woman from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh, for allegedly forging Aadhaar cards at the same centre. The candidates were identified as Shivam Sing Tomar (23) of Madhya Pradesh, Vikash Kumar Choudhury (22) of Bihar, Sanjeet Pal (24) of Uttar Pradesh and Kumari Ranjan Verma (22) of Balia in UP.
