Free drinking water distributed in Jamugurihat

JAMUGURIHAT: Shristi Club, a youth club of the greater Jamugurihat drew attention of thousands of devotees and visitors who thronged the recently concluded Barechaharia Bhaona Festival for its unique but innovative ideas. It is pertinent to mention here that the youth club had installed ten campers of pure drinking water at a corner for visitors and devotees free of cost inside the bhaona festival site. Sootea MLA Padma Hazarika-cum-president of the Barechaharia Bhaona committee inaugurated the free drinking water corner in presence of Pallabita Sarma Mahanta, Mayor of Jamuguri Municipal Board along with other dignitaries on March 6. A total of 10 thousand litres of water distributed during the four-day bhaona festival, informed Manash Pratim Das and Divyajyoti Mahanta, president and the secretary of the club. Shristi Club had distributed drinking water for last four bhaonas. Visitors and the conscious people had appreciated and praised the noble work done by the club.
