JAMUGURIHAT: Lokra Battalion of Agartala Sector under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) organised a free medical camp under ARCAP (Assam Rifles Civic Action Program) at Bihaguri village under Sonitpur district on Wednesday. The medical camp was organized to provide free medical consultation and medicines to local people devoid of basic medical infrastructure and facilities. Apart from medical assistance, basic awareness on hygiene and healthy lifestyle was also imparted in the medical camp. A total of 296 locals benefited from this medical camp. This initiative & continuous efforts of Assam Rifles dedicated towards the uplift of local people was highly appreciated by the civil administration and local people.
LAKHIMPUR: A free-of-cost health check-up camp was held at Barbil, the adopted village of Lakhimpur Commerce College. The health camp was organized by the Extension Services and Outreach Cell and Community Development Cell of Lakhimpur College of Commerce in collaboration with Lakhimpur District Health Services Society. The health camp was inaugurated by Dr. Dhruvajyoti Barua. A total of 150 patients were treated and free medicines were distributed among the patients. The camp was attended by professors Tilak Chandra Deka, Avan Chandra Burman, Kuldeep Narayan Dutta and Achyut Kumar Gogoi.
