Golaghat District Administration Withdrew Containment Zone Restrictions

GOLAGHAT: The Golaghat district administration withdrew containment zone restrictions in two villages of the district on Friday.

An office order vide No. DDMA/GLT/271/2021-22/46 and order No. DDMA/GLT/271/2021-22/48 dated May 26, 2021 stated that since declaration of Dharmapur village under Sarupathar, Golaghat and Borfong Tea Estate of Khumtai, Golaghat as containment zone under the Assam COVID-19 Containment Regulation, 2020, no new cases of COVID-19 had been detected in the declared zones. Hence, as per the risk assessment report of IDSP, Golaghat, the containment zone of Dharmapur village under Sarupathar and Borfong Tea Estate under Khumtai would be no longer effective and the restrictions that were so imposed in this zone were withdrawn with immediate effect from the May 26. At present there are four active containment zones in Golaghat district.
