GOLAGHAT: Golaghat Polytechnic, Furkating successfully conducted a Student Induction Programme which was held for two weeks starting from October 21 to welcome the newly-enrolled students of the institute.
Several programmes such as anti-drug awareness programme, plantation drive, sports, yoga, art and culture were conducted sequentially within these days. Tripti Gogoi, in-charge of Furkating Police Outpost, had participated in the Anti-drugs Awareness Programme jointly conducted by Furkating Police Outpost and Golaghat Polytechnic. In her lecture, she stated that proper awareness among students, parents and teachers with the help of the police force can detect and eliminate various criminal cases related to drugs.
Principal of Golaghat Engineering College, Dr. Satyajit Paul and Chief General Manager of Numaligarh Refinery, Hemanta Kumar Nath were also present in the programme. They delivered inspiring lectures on health, life and leadership qualities. Canvas Club, a club created for various creative activities in the institute, successfully released the daily wall magazine, 'Techpulse'.
