Goreswar Press Club observed death anniversary of scribe Dipak Swargiary

GORESWAR: Goreswar Press Club on Wednesday observed the death anniversary of scribe Dipak Swargiary who was shot dead on September 23, 1995 by some unidentified miscreants in Baksa. Debotosh Swargiary, the son of Dipak Swargiary, paid floral tribute at the portrait of the scribe. All the members of Goreswar Press Club also paid tribute to Swargiary and recollected his contribution to the field of journalism.

In this connection, the biennial conference of Goreswar Press Club was also held at Press Club Bhavan on Wednesday. The general meeting was presided over by Bapu Boro, president of Goreswar Press Club, and the purpose of the meeting was explained by Dipankar Das, general secretary of the press club. A new executive body was formed in this meeting with Niranjan Deka as president and Abdul Latif Choudhury as general secretary.
