Hailakandi: Teachers and officials engaged in the National Register of Citizens have been released following the publication of final NRC. An order was issued to this effect by the Hailakandi district administration on Monday.
In the order, Deputy Commissioner Keerthi Jalli said that teachers and officials engaged in National Register of Citizens work as assisting and supportive staff to disposing officers and at NSKs have been relieved from NRC related work with immediate effect They have been directed to report to the heads of departments and institutions tomorrow positively without fail. However, officers like ACRCR, DO, LRCR, ALRCR and FLOs shall continue their NRC duty as usual, the order stated.
