Assam Health and Finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated a special pediatrics 'Bagri Children Covid Care Centre' unit at Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital(MMCH) on Sunday, August 30.
Along with the state health minister, MoS Pijush Hazarika also joined in launching the facility.
Assam Health minister Sarma shared a tweet in his official twitter handle quoting "At MMCH today, we inaugurated a special pediatrics unit ~ Bagri Children Covid Care Centre."
This new unit is an important addition to the integrated medical care system that the authority provides for patients, especially children.
As per reports, the COVID-19 care centre specially for the children has the capacity of 55 beds.
