TINSUKIA: Seven resident students of orphanages and child lines who passed the recently announced HSLC examination were felicitated at a function held at the office of Tinsukia District Child Welfare Officer on Thursday. The meeting, chaired by District Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Chairperson Uttam Duwara was attended by Juvenile Justice Council Chairman Tridip Kumar Bhattacharya, District Child Welfare Officer Vedanta Kalita, CWC Member Mohan Kumar Sharma and Suryodaya Chairman Ranjit Dutta among others. The meeting was moderated by Shyam Upadhyay of Child Welfare Department and Child Protection Officer Satya Narayan Baruah explained the objectives of the meeting. The felicitated students were Rupa Mura, Kanchan Agarwala from Keshav Behety Surjadaya Children home, Sushanta Moran of Gynangkush, Jogen Orang, Harbhajyoti Ganju, Rohit Sonar and Divons Maran of Shishu Griha. All these students passed with distinction. The meeting was attended by members of the Juvenile Justice Council and office bearers of children’s homes.
