Dibrugarh: India Post, Dibrugarh branch, introduced several schemes on Monday under the Digital India campaign in a press briefing held at Dibrugarh Post Office.
Among the schemes included, IPPB, CBS, DARPAN and AADHAR. IPPB are Aadhaar-based digital accounts wherein customers are now provided the facilities of a modern bank, namely, mobile banking, paperless transactions, doorstep banking, funds transfer (NEFT/RTGS/IMPS), utility bill payments and payment of DoP products with no minimum balance.
CBS, or Core Banking Solutions, have helped in connecting all CBS Post Offices. Customers will be able to access their account from any CBS Post Office and avail ATM, including Internet Banking and SMS alerts. Digital Advancement of Rural Post Office for a New India (DARPAN) aims at improving the quality of service and value to services and achieving financial inclusion of unbanked rural population. As for Aadhar, Post Office Aadhar Kendra offers Aadhar registration and updation to all citizens.
