Indian Army provides drinking water facility in a remote village at Udalguri district

MANGALDAI: A unit of Indian Army gifted drinking water facility to the villagers living in remote village Niz Amlaiguri along the Indo-Bhutan border in the Udalguri district on Wednesday.

For the purpose, the army constructed a Borewell with 10,000 litres water storage tank and 10 taps facility to provide drinking water in the village. The project was inaugurated in the presence of Sonesh Narzari, village head as the representative of civil administration. During summer, the village faces acute shortage of water and the villagers have to ferry water from far away. This project fulfils the requirement of potable drinking water to the villagers for years to come.
