Golaghat: A peasant organization named Jeepal Krishak Sramik Sangha (JKSS) staged protest against NEEPCO at Golaghat near the Deputy Commissioner’s office on Thursday demanding Rs 10 lakh compensation for the flood victims. The protesters raised various slogans against NEEPCO as well as the Assam government.
