Jorhat: A son brutally assaulted his father over a family dispute. The victim succumbed to his injuries at Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH), Dibrugarh, said police sources on Thursday.
The police said the victim, identified as Munin Gogoi, died two days after he was hit by his son, Abhijit Gogoi, on Sunday. The incident took place at Karanga village under Cinnamora Police Station and investigation in the case is going on. Abhijit was sent to Jorhat Central Jail after being produced at Jorhat court.
