JAGIROAD: The 13th triennial conference of the Journalist Association of Assam (JAA), affiliated to the National Union of Journalist India (NUJI), will be held at the Jagiroad College conference hall on March 2 and March 3. The conference will be held under the aegis of JAA Morigaon district committee. As per the programme, the delegate session on March 2 will be inaugurated by local MLA and Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Piyush Hazarika. On March 3, a seminar on the topic ‘Safety and security of journalists-Duties and Responsibilities of Government’ will be inaugurated by Assam Governor Dr Jagdish Mukhi. The seminar will be conducted by JAA State president Dhirendra Nath Chakravarty.
A souvenir, JAA Barta will be released by the Chief Minister’s media advisor Hrishikesh Goswami in the open session of the conference. Many national and State-level journalists will attend the conference.
