RANGIA: Kamrup police headed by ASP Asif Ahmed seized huge quantity of opium from Tetelia under Hajo police station. Acting on a tip-off, ASP Ahmed, with the help of Babul Medhi, OC Hajo, seized a huge quantity of opium imported from Manipur from the possession of one Harekrishna Kalita of village Tetelia under PS Hajo. Police arrested Harekrishna Kalita. Kalita was carrying on this illegal business for years together from his residence. He is being interrogated in Hajo police station for further information.
