KVK, Dibrugarh participates in 4th Emerging North East, 2021

DIBRUGARH: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Dibrugarh participated in the 4th Emerging North East, 2021 organized by ASSOCHAM and sponsored by MOFPI, Government of India, Government of Assam, and AYUSH recently.

KVK Dibrugarh actively participated in both exhibitions-cum-conferences. KVK facilitated FPOs, entrepreneurs, SHGs and progressive farmers to display their home-made products like mushroom cake, mushroom Pickle, mushroom piyaji, mushroom pokora, local pitha like nangal dhora pitha, fish pickle, banana pickle and bamboo shoot.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Union Minister of Food Processing and Industries, Rameswar Teli. During the conference there, resource persons Dr. D. Sarmah, Senior Scientist and Head, S. Sarma, Subject Matter Specialist, Plant Protection, both from KVK, Dibrugarh, and Dr. T. Sultana Begum, Subject Matter Specialist, Community Science, KVK Sivasagar, delivered lecture on 'Organic farming and its importance' , 'Scientific mushroom cultivation and its value addition' respectively.
