Lakhimpur ASP Pranab Kumar Pegu distributed relief items among 400 needy families

LAKHIMPUR: Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) of Lakhimpur district, Pranab Kumar Pegu distributed food items among four hundred needy families of the district who have been adversely affected by ongoing lockdown with regard to earning their bread.

Responding to the governments appeal, the ASP distributed the food items on Thursday among the poor families living at Alimur Dangdhara, Narayanpur Chapori, Rampur, Ghilaguri, Dimaruguri, Naharbari, Amaraguri, Bijaypur, Ouguri, Lepong, Alimur Patir, Kathalbari, Bahir Dimaruguri and Ghahigaon villages under Dimaruguri Gaon Panchayat of Dhakuakhana subdivision. The police officer extended 5kg rice, 1kg dal, along with mustard oil, soyabean, potato, soap etc to each of the families. A team of TMPK activists extended co-operation to the police officer while conducting the relief drive. He also conducted awareness among the people on the precautionary measures to be adopted in order to prevent the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.
