Lakhimpur District Xahitya Xabha takes a step towards conservation of nature

LAKHIMPUR: The Lakhimpur District Xahitya Xabha (LDXX) has initiated a unique programme towards the conservation of nature and to execute every possible measure to save the environment from unhealthy pollution. In connection with the World Environment Day, the institution organized an event at Naoboicha Junior College in collaboration with Banya-Prani Surakhya Sangram Samiti, Asom as a part of the programme on Thursday.

The agenda of the event kicked off with the unfurling of Axam Xahitya Xabha flag by LDXX vice president Umananda Baruah. Naoboicha Junior College principal Nagendra Nath Sarmah inaugurated the massive plantation drive. Asom Banya-Prani Surkhya Sangram Samiti president, Narayan Baruah as appointed speaker graced in the open session which was chaired by the district vice president of LDXX. He called upon everyone to come forward and save nature from being polluted and to conserve and to expand the vegetation and bio diversity. Vice president of the organization, Bhola Dutta, social activists Dilip Kakati, Prema Roy were present in the event as special guests. Social cum environment activist Uday Sankar Hazarika was given warm felicitation by LDXX in the same event for his contribution to conserve the nature.
