Litterateur Brajendra Kumar Brahma's wife donates his books to Bodoland University

KOKRAJHAR: Noted Bodo litterateur, Sahitya Akademi awardee and Tagore Literary awardee and former president of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha (BSS) Brajendra Kumar Brahma's own creations and collections of books were donated to the Central Library of Bodoland University (BU) by his wife Kaushalya Brahma in presence of Vice-Chancellor, Laishram Ladu Singh, Registrar Dr. HK Sahu of Bodoland University, and former Additional Principal Secretary of BTC, PK Hazowary, Librarian i/c Khagen Kalita and other officials of the Bodoland University and family members of Brahma.

The wife of Brajendra Kumar Brahma -Kaushalya Brahma -handed over as many as 1,801 books, including his creations and collections, through a programme held at Bodoland University Central Library in Kokrajhar on Thursday. Kaushalya Brahma thanked the Bodoland University authority for receiving the books to be kept on display in the central library for students, scholars and also for teachers and readers in general. She was extremely happy to donate her husband's creations with a hope to help the student community.

Prof. Laishram Ladu Singh, the Vice-Chancellor of Bodoland University, appreciated the initiative of Brahma's family. Prof. Singh also added that the donated books would be helpful for the scholars, students and teachers in Bodo literature and also it would enrich the knowledge of the readers. The University authority thanked the family members with a letter of appreciation.
