DEMOW: At a time when the State Government talks about zero tolerance against corruption, a lot mandal of Demow Circle Office has been caught taking bribe from people.
According to sources, the incident came to light on Friday. There were allegations that the lot mandal, Naren Phukan used to take bribe and do work in Demow Circle Office. He was caught taking bribe from people on video. Phukan, however, denied these allegations before media persons.
Phyllis Hrangchal, Demow Circle Officer, said that she would inquire into the incident. She added that she was still trying to identify the people in the video clip.
