DHUBRI: One Saidul Islam, aged around 45, of Chagalchara Part-I under Dhubri police station reportedly went missing from July 16 from the house of one Chakka Miah, a resident of Balaboth (Basertol) under Tufanganj police station of Coochbehar district.
Saidul Islam had gone to Chakka Miah’s house at his invitation and stayed overnight, but thereafter he went missing, his nephew Mozammel Haque informed The Sentinel.
When the wife of Saidul Islam, Mihina Bibi, and Mozammel Haque went to Chakka Miah’s house, they found Chakka Miah absconding and his wife handed over Saidul Islam’s mobile handset to them, Mozammel Haque further informed.
Haque also informed that he had lodged an FIR with Dhubri Superintendent of Police on July 22 detailing the incident, and that the police were now investigating the case.
