TINSUKIA: The Margherita Revenue Circle celebrated its 44th Foundation Day with a lively celebration on Monday, March 17, marking over four decades of service to the community.

The revenue circle, which was established on March 17, 1981, after being separated from the Tinsukia Revenue Circle, has played a significant role in bringing administrative services closer to the people who have lived there for the past 44 years.

The celebrations were kicked off by Circle Officer Gyan Jyoti Dutta with the traditional lighting of an earthen lamp and floral offerings at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi. Nitul Gogoi hosted the event, which was skillfully moderated by Mridul Das and Lambodar Hazarika.

Government workers and village chiefs from across Margherita Co-District participated enthusiastically in the event, demonstrating the unity and collaborative spirit of the region.

Since its inception, the Margherita Revenue Circle has played a crucial role in local governance, handling land records, revenue collection, and various administrative functions for the communities under its jurisdiction. The anniversary celebration honored the institution's history and reaffirmed its commitment to serving the people of Margherita in the years ahead.

Meanwhile, synchronizing with the celebration of 25 years of service, the Discovery Club of Kokrajhar, in collaboration with the District Health Services and District Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department, successfully conducted a medical and veterinary camp at Ultapani Community Hall in Kokrajhar district last year in November.
