TINSUKIA: Under Swasthya Sewa Abhiyan, a special medical camp was held on Saturday at the hospital premises of Budlabeta TE Hospital under Kakopothar Block PHC in the Tinsukia district. The camp was formally inaugurated by Doomdooma MLA Rupesh Gowala in the presence of senior health officials from district and block level of Tinsukia.
A total of 414 beneficiaries were benefited from the health camp out of which 289 were screened for general ailments, 54 were pregnant women and 71 children, from which nine were identified as severe acute malnourished children who screened and treated for different ailments. Specialist doctors participated in the camp from different parts of the district. Health officials from different umbrella programmes as Leprosy, Malaria, TB eradication and mental health programme also participated in the camp. The camp had the facility to conduct medical tests free of cost.
