LAKHIMPUR: The meeting of the Lakhimpur District Task Force and North Lakhimpur City Task Force on Routine Immunization was held on Thursday. The meeting was held in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner's office under the management of Dr. Jagadish Goswami, the in-charge Additional Chief Medical and Health Officer.
The meeting was chaired by Sumit Sattawan, the Deputy Commissioner of Lakhimpur. In the meeting, performance report on Routine Immunization during the months of April and May of the current year was apprised by the authority concerned. Moreover, the reasons of low performance on Routine Immunization during the months of April and May of this year in comparison to that of the last year were analyzed on priority basis. In this regard, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the District Immunization Officer to address the issues and take adequate steps to achieve the target of Routine Immunization. He also instructed the supervisors to monitor the immunization programmes held during the Rural Health Nutrition Day on every Wednesday of the week. He instructed the authorities concerned to keep a close watch so that no babies of the district were deprived of routine immunization.
The meeting took resolution to hold the review meeting of the District Task Force and City Task Force on Routine Immunization every month. In the meeting, ADC (Health) Geetali Duworah, medical officers of the Block Primary Health Centres, District Surveillance Officer Dr Silpi Saikia, NUHM Nodal Officer Dr. Queen Baruah, District Extension and Media Officer Homan Payang and officers of the line departments were present.
