SIVASAGAR: Ahead of the Deuri Autonomous Council (DAC) election to be held on November 8 in the three constituencies of Sivasagar district, namely Rajabari, Tengapani and Katiori, a meeting was held at the Sukafa Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner's office with election candidates, representatives of political parties and officials to discharge their election duties.
In the meeting, which was attended by election observer Partha Pratim Bairagi and nodal officer Subhan Gowala, matters relating to various permissions, issues related to election expenditure were discussed in detail. In the meeting, the sector officers, master trainers were also briefed about their election duties and rules.
It may be mentioned that Assam Civil Service officer Partha Pratim Bairagi has already been appointed as the observer for the elections to DAC in the Sivasagar district.
