Mentally unstable man reported missing from Orang, family appeals for help

A 40-year-old mentally unstable man, Abul Rahim, has been reported missing from 1 No. Saikia Chuburi village, under the jurisdiction of Orang police station in Udalguri district since June 26.

DHEKIAJULI: A 40-year-old mentally unstable man, Abul Rahim, has been reported missing from 1 No. Saikia Chuburi village, under the jurisdiction of Orang police station in Udalguri district since June 26.

According to family sources, Abul Rahim, the second son of Late Samsuddin Sheikh and Majiron Nessa, left his residence that morning heading toward the Orang Chari-Ali area. However, he did not return home, and his whereabouts remain unknown to this day.

Concerned for his safety, the family conducted a frantic search across nearby villages, relatives’ homes, and surrounding areas but found no trace of him. Finally, they lodged a missing person complaint with the Orang police station.

Describing Abul Rahim as mentally unstable, the family fears that he might be in danger or unable to find his way back home. It appealed to the public for any information regarding his location.
