Dibrugarh: The 11th Dibrugarh Book Fair, 2019, organized by Milan Jyoti Sangha, has witnessed the expected number of footfalls since the day of its commencement. With owners from various parts of the State as well as from other States giving their stalls, the book fair has been able to attract many people thus far. Along with a rise in the demand for English fiction and non-fiction books, growing demand for different kinds of Assamese books has also been observed.
Priya Dihingia, a student of Education, remarked, “Book fairs are a great occasion for me. The mere presence of books surrounding me is such a delightful experience. I’m impressed by the variety of books this time.” Rajib Saikia, a doctor, said, “I love books, especially the Assamese. There are so many good and informative books that we’re not even aware of. That’s where the purpose of book fairs comes into play.
