Addressing the media persons at the Duliajan Media Centre, Pranjit Gogoi said, " We are operating a resort-cum-amusement centre at 1No. Gulimara Village, Duliajan. Since its inception, we have faced numerous problems caused by local miscreants who frequently try to disrupt us in various ways."

On January 7, Saturday, around 1.00 p.m., 10 to 12 goons entered our resort and began attacking our employees with the intent of killing them, seriously injuring one of our employees, Rajib Hazarika, according to Pranjit Gogoi.

Remembering the horrific day of January 7, Rajib Hazarika, the employee of GG Ecovillage told to the media persons that some miscreants came to our restaurant and started to assault me with the intention of killing me.

"The individuals came to the restaurant on January 6 evening and asked our staff members to turn up the music. But I humbly opposed their request as there were other guests in the resort at that time," Rajib Hazarika said. "Next day they threatened me," Hazarika added. Rajib had already filed an FIR at the Duliajan PS. But police have done nothing to nab the victims.
