Modern operation theatre inaugurated in Kheroni Model Hospital

HOWRAGHAT: A high-tech operation theatre was inaugurated in Kheroni Model Hospital of West Karbi Anglong here on Friday. Tuliram Ronghang Chief Executive Member (CEM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), officially inaugurated the operation theatre in presence of a gathering of people. Ronghang told the gathering after the inaugural ceremony that the patients of the area would be benefitted as they would not have to travel to the Hojai district and Guwahati for surgery. While admitting the need for better health care facilities in West Karbi Anglong, he announced that model hospitals would be constructed in Jerikending and Umpanai soon. He advised the doctors and nurses to discharge their duties sincerely and conduct themself respectfully with patients and their relatives. He announced that 15 ambulances would be provided in the region coinciding with the council’s foundation day commemoration.
