Morigaon: ‘Sanchipat,’ a premier cultural organization of Morigaon, shined in the national-level Group Bhurtal Nritya (senior) competition by winning the first position on Borgeets, besides other individual prizes in the ‘16th Cuttack Mahotsav.’ The mahotsav was organized by Utkal Yuva Sanskrutk Sangh, Cuttack, in collaboration with the India Federation of United Nations Associations and others.
The Group Bhurtal Nritya (senior) was directed by Jyotisha Mahanta. Senior actor Ajoy Kr. Deka led the Group Bhurtal Nritya (senior) in the competition. Besides the students of the cultural troupe ‘Sanchipat,’ who also bagged positions in their individual competitions. Angshumita Narzary received the 1st position in the Dasabatar dance, and Likhita Kashyap got the 1st position in the Bargeet dance drama competition. Moreover, Gungun Kalita and Syamalika Medhi got second position in the Satriya dance competition. On the other hand, Namrata Deka and Sinmoy Deka got second and third positions in the Guru Bandana (Karatala-Kamala) and Bhupendra Sangeet competitions, respectively.
