NDFB factions to celebrate 34 years of struggle and sacrifice on February 24

KOKRAJHAR: The National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) has decided to celebrate the 34 years of struggle and sacrifice for the cause of the right to self-determination of the Bodo people in Udalguri on February 24.

In a joint invitation, the presidents of the four factions of the NDFB- DR Nabla (Ranjan Daimary), B. Sungthagra (Dhiren Boro), B. Swmkhwr (Gobinda Basumatary) and B. Saoraigwra (Amar Basumatary) - said they had been in the forefront in fighting and safeguarding the legitimate rights of the Boro people since its inception on October 3, 1986. After 34 years of a long and hard struggle, the NDFB had come to an understanding with the Government of India and signed a peace accord on January 27, 2020.

They said that in the light of these momentous events in the history of the Boro people, the united NDFB had decided to observe a grand celebration of 34 years of supreme sacrifice and struggle as well as of the signing of the Peace Accord on February 24, 2020 at Canaan Fwthar, Kapurpura and Udalguri.
